If you are in Chicago here is an event that will be every interesting and enlightening - On Friday evening, March 19, The Resolution Project and SmileyBooks are proudly sponsoring a panel discussion entitled ARE YOU BRAINWASHED? The Marketing of Black Inferiority 21st Century Style moderated by award-winning broadcaster Tavis Smiley at The DuSable Museum of African American History.

Tom Burrell, whose new book, BRAINWASHED: Challenging the Myth of Black Inferiority, has planted the seeds for this evening’s conversation, will be joined by playwright Ifa Bayeza and Dr. Cornel West.

BRAINWASHED examines how the very fabric of black American life has been torn apart by the marketing of the Black Inferiority Complex. The panel’s aim is to open the dialogue and candidly discuss both the media brainwashing issues Mr. Burrell outlines, as well as paths toward solutions. The evening’s conversation, free and open to the public, is an opportunity to spark a movement and for the audience to gain a greater understanding of Burrell’s vital message. This event is free and open to the public.
